best shuttlecock? 16 feathers are used to make the shuttle and it weighs
between 4.74 and 5.5 grams.

SHUTTLECOCK
1. Racket
Badminton racquets are lightweight, with top quality racquets
weighing between 70 and 95 grams (2.5 and 3.4 ounces) not
including grip or strings.

They are composed of many different materials ranging from


carbon fibre composite (graphite reinforced plastic) to solid
steel, which may be augmented by a variety of materials

● Stringed Area- part of the racket which the player intends


to hit the shuttle cock or the bird
● Head- bound the stringed area
● Throat- connects the shaft and the Head.
● Shaft- connects the handle to the Grip
● Handle- part of the racket intended to be gripped by the
player
● Frame- name given to the Head, Throat, Shaft, and Handle
taken together

2. Shuttlecock

● The shuttlecock have 16 feather fixed in the base.


● The base shall be rounded, 25-28mm in diameter
● The feathers maybe 62-70mm in over all length but must
be of exactly similar length from the base to tip .
● These tip must form a circle with diameter of 58-68mm.
● The feather must be in force with enter woven thread
round the quills in order maintain the above to spread.
● It Shall weigh from 4.74-5.50g

Synthetic shuttles are often used by recreational players to reduce


their costs as feathered shuttles break easily. These nylon shuttles
may be constructed with either natural cork or synthetic foam base,
and a plastic skirt.
