Good evening, and welcome to this momentous day in this couple's lives.

We warmly ask you to leave

your problems and concerns at home and join us in celebrating their marriage. This is an occasion for us
to celebrate not only the love of the BRIDE and GROOM, but also to reaffirm and cherish the love and
friendship we have in our own lives. May we all be totally present throughout our brief time together to
celebrate. The BRIDE and GROOM chose this location for their wedding because it provides an ideal
backdrop for the public declaration of their love. The BRIDE and GROOM see marriage as a coming
together on all levels — mind, body, and spirit. A willingness to be honest and vulnerable, as well as the
fortitude to take chances, are all characteristics of a marriage commitment. Marriage is a deliberate act
of the will. To stay married, we must rekindle our desire to be married on a regular basis. The obstacles
of living together in love are accepted by married couples. They make the decision to face their fears,
which are an inevitable part of forming and maintaining an intimate connection. And you, the BRIDE and
GROOM, have committed to creating and re-creating this conscious connection. Those of us who are
married or in relationships should use this opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to our spouses and
to ourselves. Marriage entails giving our deepest selves to another's loving care. To be sure, it is a public
and legal act. It is also a spiritual and emotional act. For a marriage to last, it must embrace the spiritual
side openly, fully, and entirely. The BRIDE and GROOM agree to accept conflict as well as peace; to labor
as well as play; to strive as well as coast; to give as well as receive; and to be with, remain with, and
advance toward one another today in sacred trust.
