“While we're waiting we can have a good time on this island” ry F_THE FLIES PART IT SUMMARY A group of english schoolboys aged between six and twelve crash during the second world war. The aircraft lands on a desert island, no adults survive the accident. Surviving seems to be possible, even without adults. There are fruits, water and even pigs to hunt. The boys are buil- ding shelters, explore the island and light a fire. But the harmony don’t last long. The crisis leads in an~ archy, death and destruction. Hunting is no more the way ofgetting meat, but killing without sense, the hunters and the keeper of the fire fight angainst eachother. The stronger will survive. Terror split up the society an lead it in a world without rules, civilisation and human behavior. THE AUTHOR Sir William Golding born 1911 in Cornwall} south-west of England visits university in Oxford (natural sciences) 2nd world war-as a marine officer, later captain of a missile cruiser. 1954 first novel (Lord of the Flies) published.
