TOMBOY TOOLS TO EXPAND LOCATIONS AND PRODUCT LINE THIS FALL

ROYAL UNGER TO HEAD INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

For Immediate Release

October 24, 2021

(Chester, Pennsylvania) --
Tomboy Tools, Inc. announced today that it will be adding 15 new products and two new
categories to its product line. It will also be expanding its sales from the United States to Canada,
Mexico, and the United Kingdom, with Royal Unger named as the new vice president for
international marketing. More details will be announced at the company’s annual sales
convention tomorrow in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

The end of this year marks the largest expansion of Tomboy Tools in product offerings and
locations since the company’s founding. Currently, the company’s product line consists of 15
household tools, including hammers, saws, wrenches, and pliers, as well as safety equipment
such as goggles, knee pads, and protective gloves. Each product is ergonomically designed to be
comfortable for women’s hands and is approved by a panel of builders before sale. Products are
sold by a team of over 8,000 salespeople in the United States.

The first new category that Tomboy Tools will be adding is a line of paints and stains. These
products will be available in popular colors which have been developed by an advisory panel of
customers. Every paint or stain is odor-free and made without any harmful chemicals.

“We are so excited to take a step into a brand-new product category,” Tomboy Tools founder and
Chief Executive Officer Jeannette Rickstrew said. “Our whole business is centered around
helping people build their dreams, and these paints will help them put on the finishing touches.”

The second new category is a line of tools specially designed for use by children ages 8-15.
These tools are child-sized and include special safety features to protect their users. Both the
paints and the child-friendly tools will begin selling in November. The other new products
include a line of power tools, which will be sold starting in December.

“With COVID-19 still going on, people are reluctant to have contractors come into their homes
to do repairs, so we are here to relieve some of that stress. People just need the right tools and the
confidence to be able to tackle home improvement projects and repairs themselves,” Rickstrew
said. “We are also hoping that our new child-friendly tools will help parents teach their children
about tool safety.”

In addition to launching new products, Tomboy Tools is expanding its efforts beyond the United
States. The full line of Tomboy Tools products will be offered in Canada, Mexico, and the United
Kingdom. Royal Unger has just been hired as the new vice president for international marketing
to spearhead this expansion. Unger has spent eight years with tool manufacturing company
Stanley, Inc. and four years with The Home Depot, Inc. He will begin his work launching and
recruiting salespersons in the new markets next month.

“When I decided that I wanted to take on these new markets, my mind immediately went to
Royal. He has years of experience in the home improvement industry. I have a lot of confidence
in him and I know he’ll help us figure out these new markets. He’s brilliant,” Rickstrew said.

The details of the new products and the expansion will be outlined at the company’s annual sales
event tomorrow at the Harrisburg Convention Center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Around 2,000
sellers are expected to attend to hear from Rickstrew and other home improvement experts. This
will be the largest Tomboy Tools convention to date.

“When I started this company, I never dreamed that it would get to where it is today,” Rickstrew
said. “I love encouraging women to take charge of their home improvement projects and giving
them confidence that they’re better with tools than they might have thought.”
