Examining the Resilience of Hospitality Companies in Tacloban City

During the Covid-19 Pandemic

Objectives:

This study aims for the following goals:

1. Determine the level of resilience among hospitality companies in Tacloban City amidst

the Covid-19 pandemic.

2. Distinguish policies and strategies of hospitality companies that help build resilience and

productivity during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Research Questions:

1. What is the level of resilience of hospitality companies in Tacloban City during the

Covid-19 pandemic?

2. What are the factors affecting the level of resilience of hospitality companies in Tacloban

City during the Covid-19 pandemic?

3. What are the policies and strategies of hospitality companies that help build resilience

and productivity during the Covid-19 pandemic?


Methodology

This study is qualitative in nature. Using purposive sampling, __ owners and managers of

Hospitality companies in Tacloban City were approached and interviewed. The interviews and

data gathering process were conducted using online google survey forms, zoom, and other means

to reach the respondents while following health and safety protocols. The interviews were

conducted in ______ 2021.

Research Design

This study employed the qualitative research design to determine and examine the

resilience of hospitality companies in Tacloban City during the Covid-19 pandemic. A

qualitative investigation was conducted in order to meet the study's objectives. The major feature

of qualitative research is that it is best suited for small groups, and the results are not measurable

or quantifiable. Its primary benefit, as well as its primary distinction from quantitative research,

is that it provides a comprehensive description and analysis of a research topic without restricting

the scope of the study or the nature of participant replies (Collis & Hussey, 2003).
