My Take Away from the Message

The Scripture passage we tackled is 2 Peter Chapter 1

I have learned about how to combat the internal threats in the church. We should grow and become
strong in our faith. But in order to Build our faith and make it strong, we should first have God in our
lives because he is the source of faith, he has given us the gift of salvation, and he alone has the power
to help us grow. Secondly, we must work on our faith and we must add: Virtue meaning being morally
excellent and fulfilling the purpose which it was made, knowledge which come from the Bible, self-
control which is the bridge of what we know( our knowledge) and what we do(our actions),
Perseverance to bear the hardship of being a Christian, Godliness this speaks for being right with God
and therefore also being right with people, Brotherly kindness, and love, agape love, which is higher
than brotherly love, its sacrificial and unconditional love. Lastly, you should have growth in mind so that
you will be productive in building your faith and make sure your faith overflows and blesses others.
