Data protection principles

These data protection principles describe the way in which EMCO Group (referred to
below just as “EMCO”) collects, manages and uses information on this website
"www.emco-world.com" and its other websites about people who visit these websites.
They do not apply to third-party websites to which there are links from this website
and the other EMCO websites.

General data privacy statement

It is strictly possible to visit the EMCO website without providing personal details.
Only the information communicated by your Internet provider (primarily the IP
address allocated to you) will be collected and stored. Any evaluation will take place
solely for statistical purposes, with the individual user remaining anonymous.

In addition, EMCO only collects the personal details that visitors to the website
explicitly and voluntarily input. The input of details of this kind can take place, for
example, if a visitor becomes registered for particular areas of the website or
subscribes to a newsletter. We use information of this kind exclusively for the
corresponding purpose and taking account of the statutory provisions in force; any
further use takes place only with your consent. You can revoke your consent to the
use of your details at any time.

EMCO does not pass any personal details on to third parties if this is not permitted by
law, the person concerned has not consented to this or the person concerned has
not him/herself expressly wished this. EMCO is aware of the value of your personal
information.

Hence, when processing your (personal) details, EMCO will naturally observe the
statutory provisions in force, in particular those of the EU General Data Protection
Regulation (EU GDPR), the Federal Act concerning the Protection of Personal Data
and the Telecommunications Act. Pursuant to these provisions, EMCO ensures that
suitable technical and organisational measures are taken to guarantee adequate
security when processing (personal) data.

Generally, (personal) data will only be retained for as long as necessary to identify
the data subjects and/or for as long as required for the purposes of the processing.
EMCO will take all adequate measures and check the processed data on a regular
basis to ensure that the (personal) data are erased within the scope provided for by
law – unless they are required for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims
or the fulfilment of contractual obligations or retention obligations – or rectified if
incorrect.

Server data

For technical reasons, amongst others we primarily collect the following data which
your Internet browser transmits to us or our web space provider (server logfiles):
– Browser type and version
– Operating system used
– Website from which you visited us (referrer URL)
– Website you are visiting
– Date and time of your access
– Your Internet Protocol (IP) address

These anonymous details are stored separately from any personal details you might
have provided, and therefore do not permit any conclusion as to your identity. They

are evaluated for statistical purposes so that we are able to optimise our Internet
presence and our offerings.

Use of our data

We hereby expressly object to the contact details we have published in connection

with our obligation to provide our legal information or other obligations of disclosure
and information being used by third parties to send advertising and information
material that we have not expressly requested. We reserve the right to take legal
action in the event of the unrequested sending of advertising information, for example
via spam emails, etc.

Cookies

Cookies are small files that enable us to store specific information relating to you, the
user, on your PC or digital end device while you are visiting our website. The website
uses and/or places cookies in accordance with the European Union and Austrian
legislation in force (Art. 5 Para. 3 of the E-Privacy Directive and Section 96 Para. 3
TKG 2003).

Cookies help EMCO to ascertain the usage frequency and number of users on our
websites, and structure our offerings to be as convenient and efficient as possible for
you. The content of the cookies we use is limited to an identification number and
usage data which does not permit any connection with the identity of the user.

When using or placing cookies which contain personal details or have implications in
terms of privacy, we will obtain your consent beforehand via your active behaviour,
namely when after having been informed of the purposes of the cookies used and of
our cookie banner you navigate further on our website, and thus give your consent to
the placement of cookies.

For EMCO data privacy is an essential contribution to customer satisfaction. In your

browser you can therefore deactivate the storage of cookies, restrict this to certain
websites or set your browser to inform you as soon as a cookie is transmitted. You
can also delete cookies from your PC’s hard disk at any time. However, please note
that this might limit the way in which the site is displayed or the guidance for users.
Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc.
(“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files stored on your
computer to help the website analyse how you use the site. The information
generated by the cookie about your use of the website will usually be transmitted to
and stored by Google on servers in the United States. However, if the IP

anonymisation on this website is enabled, your IP address will be abridged by Google

beforehand within the member states of the European Union or in other states that
are signatories to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in
exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to Google for storage on
servers in the United States and abridged there. On behalf of the operator of this
website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the
website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services to the
website operator relating to website activity and Internet usage. Google will not
associate the IP address transmitted by your browser by means of Google Analytics
with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the storage of cookies by
selecting the appropriate settings on your browser; however, please note that if you
do this, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also
prevent the acquisition of data relating to the use of the website (including your IP
address) generated by the cookies and the processing of such data by Google by
downloading and installing the browser plug-in available from the following link:
https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de (browser add-on to deactivate
Google Analytics).

General information about Google Analytics and the Google data protection centre.
This website has been extended to include the function gat._anonymizeIp(); to
guarantee that IP addresses are recorded in anonymised form (IP masking).

Use of Google AdWords

We also use the Google advertising tool “Google AdWords” to advertise our website.
In this context, we use Google Conversion Tracking, an analysis service provided by
Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA;
“Google”). This enables Google AdWords to place a cookie in your browser if you
have accessed our website via a Google ad. Cookies are small text files that are
placed and stored on your Internet browser on your computer. These so-called
conversion cookies become invalid after 30 days and are not used for the purpose of
personal identification. If you visit certain of our pages and the cookie is still valid, we
and Google can recognise the fact that you as a user have clicked on our Google ads
and have thus been forwarded to our website.
The information retrieved via the conversion cookies enables Google to prepare visit
statistics for our website, through which we learn the total number of users who have
clicked on our ad, and which pages of our website the respective user has
subsequently clicked on. However, neither we nor other advertisers using Google
AdWords receive any information by means of which users can be personally
identified.

You can prevent conversion cookies being installed by setting your browser
accordingly, for example by using the browser setting which deactivates the
automatic placement of cookies generally, or in particular only blocks cookies from
the domain “googleadservices.com”.

Data privacy statement for Google +1

Our website uses social media functions provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre
Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. When you access our pages via Google
plug-ins, a link is created between your browser and Google’s servers, and data is
transmitted to Google via this. If you have a Google account, this data can be
attached to it. If you do not wish this data to be allocated to your Google account,
please log out of Google before visiting our site. Interactions are also passed on to
Google, in particular when you use a comment function or click on a “+1” or “Share”
button. You can find out more at http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.

If you are a member of Google Plus and do not want Google to collect data about
you via our website and link this to your membership details stored by Google, you
should log out of Google Plus before visiting our website
(https://support.google.com/plus/answer/1301225?hl=de).

Data privacy statement for Facebook

Our website uses functions provided by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo
Alto, CA 94304, USA. When you access our pages via Facebook plug-ins, a link is
created between your browser and Facebook’s servers, and data is transmitted to
Facebook via this. If you have a Facebook account, this data can be attached to it. If
you do not wish this data to be allocated to your Facebook account, please log out of
Facebook before visiting our site. Interactions are also passed on to Facebook, in
particular when you use a comment function or click on a “Like” or “Share” button.
Further information on how Facebook collects and uses your data can be found in
the data protection information provided at https://www.facebook.com/poiciy.php.

Data privacy statement for YouTube

Our website contains a YouTube plug-in belonging to Google Inc., located in San
Bruno, California, USA. When you access our website containing a plug-in of this
kind, a link to YouTube is created and the YouTube server is informed which of our
pages you have visited. If you should be logged in to your YouTube account at the
same time, this would enable YouTube to attach your surfing behaviour directly to
your personal profile. You can counteract the possibility of this happening by logging
out of your account beforehand. Further information about how YouTube collects and
uses your data can be found in the data protection information provided at
www.youtube.com.

Data privacy statement for apps

EMCO makes a (mobile) sales app available to certain users, which can be
downloaded onto a (mobile) end device. By using our app, the user notes and
expressly declares their agreement to personal details that are necessary for using
the app (e.g. name, address) being processed or stored either automatically or
conventionally. In this context, we refer to our general data privacy statement above.
Access details that are necessary for using the app cannot be passed on to third
parties. All the data provided in this context remains the property of EMCO, and
EMCO expressly reserves the right at any time to forbid the use of the app without
stating the reasons, and to delete the access details and data and/or the user
undertakes to return these to EMCO and delete them definitively and permanently. A
right of retention is expressly excluded.

newsletter to provide information at regular intervals about what we offer. To be able
to receive our newsletter you require a valid email address. We will check the email
address you enter to ensure that you are actually the owner of the email address you
have indicated, or that the email address owner is authorised to receive the

the date and time of your registration. This will serve to safeguard us in the event of a
third party misusing your email address and subscribing to our newsletter without
your knowledge. We do not collect any further details. The details collected in this
way will be used solely for you to obtain our newsletter, and will not be passed on to
third parties, nor will they be reconciled with data that we have possibly collected
through other elements of our website. You can terminate your subscription to this
newsletter at any time. Details of how to do this can be found in the confirmation
email and in every individual newsletter.

It is only when you actually click on the link that a connection is created to the
external service in question.

parties, as applicable including outside the European Union. The data privacy
statements of the operators listed below apply to the services to which there are

Declaration of consent/information/revocation/deletion/data subject rights:

You can always revoke your declaration of consent concerning the use of your
personal data by emailing us at info@emco.at. By means of an informal application
sent to info@emco.at, you can always request information about your personal data
stored with and/or processed by EMCO.

processing) can be exercised by sending an informal application to info@emco.at.
Such applications will be processed within one month. Once the processing
procedure has been completed successfully, the applicant will be informed in writing
about the measures taken. In the event of delays (no more than two months after
expiry of the one-month limit) caused by the complexity of the application or due to
the large number of applications received, you will be notified immediately.
Generally, such applications are free of charge. However, in the event of excessive
or obviously unjustified applications, EMCO reserves the right not to process them or
to only process them for a fee of € 120.00 per hour worked. Where personal data are
required for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims or the fulfilment of
contractual obligations, the application cannot be processed until the mandatory
reasons for their retention have ceased. For safety reasons, EMCO reserves the
right to ask for proof of identity in case of doubt. If the application is processed
improperly or not processed at all, you may file a complaint with the data protection
authority.
