Guardianship vs. Power of Attorney

Jessica Bell founded Bell Advocate LLC after years of working in the Professional Ethics field
for several large law firms. Tired of watching the people in her community lose court cases,
homes, and access to loved ones just because they didn't know the law or know a lawyer they
could afford, Jessica is now committed to fighting fairly but fiercely for her clients in the areas
of: Domestic Relations/Family Law, Probate, Guardianship, and Estate Planning. ​

Jessica concentrates her practice into Domestic Relations (Family Law), Estate Planning,
Probate and Guardianship with a focus on adult guardianships with small estates. A lifelong
Chicago Southside native, Jessica saw a need for legal help establishing paternity, child
support, and visitation arrangements, obtaining legal guardianship for those taking care of
elderly parents, disabled family members, and minor children, and families attempting to
plan for and recover from a death. Appearing in Markham and Daley Center Courthouses,
Jessica offers affordable legal services to Cook County residents whose income is too high to
qualify for free legal services but also cannot afford traditionally priced private attorneys.
