ER staff/admitting clerk notifies the nurse’s

station of admission.

ER nurse accompanies and endorses patient to

the floor nurse

Check for the consent, patient’s data sheet,
Proceed to the next step classification of patient , admitting orders the ER nurse for the PF of
the ER physician

Inform ROD of admission

Make initial assessment

If with relative, secure the ff:

 Negative antigen result

Orient patient to hospital policies  Hospital Declaration Form

Assess the patient; Check for the

sensorium of the patient,
contraptions, informs the patient
for any signs/symptoms to watch
out for.

Check for the admitting orders of

the ROD from the ER. Check for the
laboratory results, initial meds and
other orders that are still for carry
out.

Transcribe in the Kardex and make

necessary documentation
