Social Influence

Any process whereby a person's attitudes, opinions, beliefs, or behaviour are altered or controlled by
some form of social communication. It includes conformity, compliance, group polarization, minority
social influence, obedience, persuasion, and the influence of social norms.

social influence is such an important part of our everyday life. We conform to better meet the basic
goals of self-concern and other-concern. Conforming helps us do better by helping us make accurate,
informed decisions.

Refers to the ways people influence the beliefs, feelings, and behaviors of others. Each day we are
bombarded by countless attempts by others to influence us, and as such, the study of social influence
has long been a central topic of inquiry for social psychologists and researchers in many other
social sciences .

Social Influencers

Social media influencers are the people, brands, and personalities online that people trust. They are
people who spark discussion and who inspire action.

Influencers in social media are people who have built a reputation for their knowledge and expertise on
a specific topic. They make regular posts about that topic on their preferred social media channels and
generate large followings of enthusiastic, engaged people who pay close attention to their views.

Influencers are the individuals who make it all possible. They are typically social media and blogging
mavens with a massive and loyal following, who hold power to affect consumer decisions to a high
degree.
