Additional Info

1. You can also view “Point Values” in ASE2000, by select View Bar
to view DI and AI data in table and compare it with data sheet (Refer to Appendix DNP)
in manual FRTU

Number Point at “Point Values” and

address binary input in “appendix”

Control BO
BO means Binary Output, this function to operate digital control on FRTU

1. Open View  Digital Control

Row 1 for select/choose what to operate

Row 2 “RTU” it’s slave ID and Frequency in time
Row 3 “Point” for Index Binary Output “Start, Next, Stop” for operating function
Row 4 to operate function
Start Simulation

Control BO
How to operation :

1. Choose in row 1 what to operate (you can check by open DNP.config FTU)
2. RTU is automatic set, if not, manually set by check slave ID.
Set the frequency as you want
3. Value point at upper column for index, middle column no need set (for counter)
lower column for step to stop the counter
4. After all setting , click send once or send continous
Troubleshoot

1. Q : Connection done, but can not connect or communication ?

A : Check cable Serial, it is must cross connection and check PIN DB9 must solder pin (2,3,5,7 and
8)

2. Q : Line Monitor Not showing anything ?

A : Check slave and master address is already correct and check baudrate and parity

3. Q : Always show “Respond time out”?

A : Please check , setting in FRTU and connection cable also check COM setting

4. Q : Reading data not same with Appendix/Mapping Address?

A : Please check, mapping address use DNP Config (FRTU application)

5. Q : Application after setting can not connect?

A : Restart the FRTU
Troubleshoot
How to check ?
1. Open DNP Config in FTU-Man folder

2. Read data from FRTU , until table

(Binary Input, Binary Output, Analog
Input and Counter) Open

3. We can compare “Index” with mapping

address in ASE2000 point value. We also
can add and edit name data with this
application by only double click.
