What is a good language learner?

Anyone can become a good language learner! A number of studies have tried to define which
characteristics contribute to good language learning, and the consensus of opinion is that good
language learners:

- are self-reliant, ready to work independently and take charge of developing aspects of their
own learning;
- are motivated and enthusiastic;
- have a positive view of the target language and its culture;
- play an active part in class activities (and language-learning activities outside class);
- are not afraid of making mistakes;
- practice as much as they can!

¿Qué es un buen aprendiz de idioma?

¡Cualquiera puede convertirse en un buen aprendiz de idioma! Varios estudios han tratado de
definir qué características contribuyen al buen aprendizaje del idioma, y el consenso de opinión
es que los buenos estudiantes de idiomas:

- son autosuficientes, listos para trabajar de forma independiente y se encargan de desarrollar

aspectos de su propio aprendizaje;
- están motivados y entusiasmados;
- tener una visión positiva de la lengua objetivo y su cultura;
- desempeñar un papel activo en las actividades de clase (y actividades de aprendizaje de
idiomas clase externa);

My name is Kerlyn Lozano sotelo

In this video I am going to talk about how become a good language learner. To learn a language
you should be motivated and excited. be self-sufficient, ready to work independently and to
develop aspects of our own learning; have a positive view of the target language and its
culture, play an active part in class activities, not be afraid to make mistakes and practice as
much as you can.
Well, I would like to learn to speak English the right way, to achieve that I must practice daily or
at least interdiary. I like to curious about English words so every time I hear a new one, I repeat
it in my head about 10 times until it gets memorized. I also watch movies with audio in English
and subtitled in Spanish so I also adapt to listen and understand what they say.

On my cell phone I have an application that helps me quite also to continue practicing my
English is called Duolingo and I have been using it for a while is very good.

Finally the best way to finish learning a language faster is to live in the country where they
speak the language you want to learn because personally I think living with people who speak in
another language helps a lot to learn.
