Methods

This study will employ a Descriptive mixed-method to explore and investigate the amelioration of
Gulayan as Paaralan of the Selected Schools in the province of Camarines, Cam. Norte and Albay. The
study will adapt Descriptive Research involves identification of attributes a particular phenomenon
based on observational basis, or the exploration of correlation between two or more phenomenon
(Creswell 2002)

The term mixed method refers to the emergent methodology of research that advances the systematic
integration or mixing of qualitative and quantitative data. Within a single investigation or sustained
program of inquiry. The mixed-method originates in social sciences that have been developed and
refined to suit a wide range of variety of research questions (Creswell and Plano Clark 2011). Mixed
method research is a type of research in which a researcher or a team of researchers combines
elements of qualitative and quantitative viewpoints data collection, analysis, interference techniques for
the broad purpose of breadth and depth of understanding and corroboration (Jonhson et. Al 2007).

Focusing on the enhancement of existing Gulayan sa Paaralan will be the guide to developing an
understanding in further implementation of the project the study sought to explore every school in
Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Albay.

Study sites.

The study focuses on gathering data on different both elementary and secondary schools of Cam. Sur,
Cam. Norte and Albay.

Participants

This study investigates the amelioration of Gulayan as Paaralan and consolidates the data gathered.
Camarines Sur First District selected 10 participants in both Elementary and Secondary schools. In
Second District 21 elementary and Secondary Schools, in third district 11 elementary and 10 Secondary
Schools contributed, in fourth and fifth district 7 elementary and Secondary Schools. The province of
Camarines Norte has 24 participating schools 12 Elementary and Secondary Schools. Moreover in the
province of Albay 2 selected participated schools.

A total of 98 participating schools fill out the survey questionnaire to determine their implementation of
Gulayan sa Paaralan, their answers will ascertain the topographical location of the school, on what
extend the enforcement they are establishing, and their maintenance and sustainability of Gulayan Sa
Paaralan.
