Dear Friends, I have just went thru a heartscan at HealthScan Malaysia located at wisma HLA, Jalan
Kia Peng. K.L. It cost me Rm2700-00 in lieu of the angiography which cost Rm28000-00. This is the
latest in SEA whereby it is non invasive and painless and fast, within 4 hrs. and you can see your
heart and arteries in stuning 3D. My Cardiologist refered me there and give me a clean bill.

I was nearly fleeced by Sunway Medical on Saturday when I went to the emergency ward after
experiencing a chest pain. Upon arriving they immediately do a ECG and says that I had a HEART
ATTACK, and must admit to ICU immediately. I was told to sign a RM5000-00 deposit and
Angioplasty shall be administred in 3 days' time. The estimated cost is 28K-30k. I resist but they wont
let me off the hook, despite my plea that the pills they give me earlier have relieve me. They finally
did a second ECG which shows that I have calm down.

Finnaly, due to my persuasion, I manage to coax them that I am entitled to a second opinion, which
they agreed. I left and was refered to Healthscan and in the end it was a muscle spasm that cost my
chest pain. My arteries are perfect, no plaque deposits or narrowing and I saved Rm25000-00 should
I listen to the doctors in Sunway Medical. Please be informed that now in Malaysia we have the
latest 64 slice CT scan and it is affordable in many packages ranging from RM380-00 to Rm2950-00.
