Installation instructions for the Harmonic Machinery sample library for Native Instruments

Kontakt 5.

This sample library works on Kontakt 5.4.2 and above. This library does not work with Kontakt
Player.

Installing the snapshots

The two virtual instruments in Harmonic Machinery, Ferro and Nebulon Ferro, use the snapshots
system to handle their presets. The snapshot files are located in the folder “Ferro” and “Nebulon
Ferro” inside the “Snapshots” folder of the library.

To be able to use the provided snapshots conveniently in Kontakt, they have to be copied to your
Native Instruments user library. This library is (usually) located inside your “Documents” folder, and
simply named “Native Instruments”.
The folders “Ferro” and “Nebulon Ferro” inside the “Snapshots” folder inside the library's folder,
need to be copied (or moved) to the “User Content” folder in the “Kontakt” folder located in the NI
user library.
So: “Ferro” and “Nebulon Ferro” go to the folder “Native Instruments/Kontakt/User Content”.
Now the provided snapshots should show up in the snapshot menu in Kontakt.
(More information about the snapshot system in Kontakt can be found in the Kontak 5 Manual
Addendum on page 8.)

There are no further special installation actions required.

If you double click Ferro.nki or Nebulon Ferro.nki inside the “Wobblophones Harmonic Machinery”
folder Kontakt will load the instrument for you.
You can find all presets in the snapshots menu.

The following steps will guide you trough setting up the Harmonic Machinery library to show up in
the “Database Tab” of the “Browser”.

1. (Optional) Move the folder “Wobblophones Harmonic Machinery” to the location on your
harddrive where you store your sample libraries. (For example your “Documents” folder.)

2. In Kontakt go to the Browser, click the Database tab and then click “DB Options” located on
the top of the Database tab.

3. Click the “Add” button next to the Database Locations list and navigate to the
“Wobblophones Harmonic Machinery” folder (inside your sample libraries folder), and click
“Choose”.

4. Click the “Update” button. Kontakt will now update your database, this process can take a
little while. After the database update has finished click “Close” to close the Database
options window.

5. You can now easily find “Ferro” and “Nebulon Ferro” by typing either name and/or
“Wobblophones” into the search input field.

Enjoy exploring Harmonic Machinery's sounds!
