CHRIS: You know, Natalie, I earned a lot last year. Now I have all this money in the bank, and I don’t know what to do with it. Do you have any ideas? NATALIE: Maybe you should just leave it in the bank for now. Are you going to buy anything soon, like a boat or a vacation home? CHRIS: Not really. I have everything I need right now. NATALIE: Then it might be a good idea to talk with someone in financial services. You might get some suggestions that way. CHRIS: I’ve already talked to my accountant. He said I should invest it so I can make more money. The trouble is, I don’t know anything about investments. NATALIE: Well, why don’t you join an investment club? You know, one of those clubs where people meet once a month, do research, and buy things together. I know someone who joined, and it helped him a lot. He said he learned a lot about investments from other people in the group. CHRIS: Hmm. That’s not a bad idea. Do you know where I can find out more about these clubs?

GRETA: Connor, I wonder what’s wrong with Melissa. She’s usually in such a good mood at work, but she’s been really depressed the last couple of days. CONNOR: You know, Greta, she may have broken up with her boyfriend – they’re always breaking up and then getting back together again. GRETA: That can’t be it. She hasn’t seen him for months. CONNOR: Oh, I didn’t know that. Maybe it’s this new project she’s working on. I know she’s had some problems with it. GRETA: I don’t think it could be that, either. We were talking about the project just yesterday, and she said it was going fine. CONNOR: Well, I don’t know, then. Maybe we should just ask her. You know, if something has happened to her family, or anything, maybe there’s something we could do to help. GRETA: You’re right, Connor. I’ll talk to her about it.
