A. Answer Comprehensively: There are more women than men in the teaching profession. Does
this indicate that fewer men are able to face the challenge of the teaching profession? Discuss
your answer.
- Fewer men proceeds to teaching profession it may be because of masculinity, men
prefer profession that are more suited to their strength that is why more men applies to
be a uniform personnel rather than a teacher. This doesn’t indicate that men are not
capable in teaching profession. Most of the best teachers we have are men they provide
best teaching practices that involves discipline and quality of learning. On the other
hand, its due to nurture and our cultural surroundings. We have created a society where
women are taught to be helpful and caring, through media, their families and social
norms. Therefore, it is of no surprise that they also often proceed in careers such as
teaching.

B. Synapse Strengtheners: Interview at least 1 teacher (male/female) who have taught for at least
5 years. What they consider to be the biggest challenge in their life as teachers?
- According to the teacher I interviewed, says “Some of the difficulties I encountered in
teaching profession is mostly on the strategies that I need to apply for the learners, how
to discipline properly the learners, and innovation in teaching and learning process. Less
salary and lots of paper works are some subjective problem I encountered but it is not a
big issue to deal. The problems that needs more focus to have solutions is within the
learning process.”
