Installing USB Dongle driver for Windows Vista / Win 7 x32

Step 1:

Download the USB dongle driver for FastCAM from the link below:

http://www.fastcam.com/download/install_1_wire_drivers_v401Beta.msi

Step 2:

Please ensure that you are running as administer on Windows to properly complete the installation.

Double click on the installation file to begin installation.

Step 3:

Read through the license agreement carefully, and check on the ‘I Agree’ radio button and then click on
‘Next’ to continue.
Step 4:

Continue through with the installation by click on ‘NEXT’. Please ensure that both the options shown are
NOT checked, as per the image below:

Step 5:

Please unplug your USB dongle before continuing installation.


Step 6:

Select your appropriate folder to be installed, continue to click on ‘NEXT’ to finish the installation.

Step 7:

Configure your 1-Wire driver by selecting on ‘Default 1-wire net’ from ‘Start’->’All Programs’->’1 wire
driver’. You should get the screen as shown below:

Please select on the ‘DS9490’ tab, which enables your USB port to communicate with the dongle. Select
‘Ok’ to quit configuration. Your USB dongle should now work with your FastCAM software.
Step 8:

If you receive the following message screen upon selecting ‘OK’, please make sure that the USB driver is
installed and working properly.

Step 9:

If the USB dongle device driver still appears to be uninstalled, then you may choose to install the driver
manually when prompted.

1. Unplug the USB dongle and plug it back into the USB port.

2. A message should come up asking you to install the driver. Choose the option to install it
manually.

3. The folder that you need to browse into is “c:\program files\Dallas Semiconductor\”.

4. After choosing this option the driver will be installed automatically.
