your own answers! From the novel the godfather written by Mario Puzo in 1969 in the
United States, which tells how a family dedicated to the mafia, through the loss of
their family and friends, seeks the path of forgiveness and peace, it is a story! with a
beginning that captivates and an ending that moves!
The book is based on the life of an Italian mobster, named Vito Corleone better known as
the godfather, initially his daughter Sonny gets married, a date on which any kind of favors
is accepted, there Johny Fontane a popular singer asks the godfather to help him land a role
in a movie, he entrusts his adopted son Tom Hagen with this task, undertaking a journey
which would end with the severed head of the favorite horse of whom Fontane was denied
the position in the film.
There, too, a mobster with the last name Sollozo asks him to collaborate with him safely to
traffic drugs through an initial fee and the godfather does not accept, from there the
mobster sob becomes a rival, shortly afterwards the godfather had an attack which was
Caused by the Sob, there his youngest son Michael, who did not live in the city and was a
good man, came to the hospital where his father was, finding his father without security in
that place, then he immediately called his relatives who They offered him security because
they wanted to kill him.
After some time with all his fortune and a very old age and a little sick, the godfather finds
out that his son who was always with him suffers an attack, Michael when he found out that
his father was wanted to kill the collection revenge killed the enemy, to sob and to a police
officer McCluskey, turning into a murderer.
Upon committing the attack, Michael left the country to Sicily where he meets Apollonia
who dies in front of his eyes from the explosion of a shell, returns after 2 years, shortly
after arriving his father dies and the enemies believed that they could eliminate very easily
to Michael, but he was the one who eliminated them and took all the power.
Finally, I would like to tell you that it is the first book I read by Puzo and the first
story I read about mafias. I have to say that I was surprised, the Godfather absorbs
you from the first pages, the way of narrating of Pozo has been to my liking, short
descriptions, giving the necessary information for the reader to enter the family of the
great Godfather, good characters, especially interesting the roles of women. It is
definitely a Reading that I recommend.
