1. Mention 4 main ideas of today's lecture.

 Confucianism came from china but with time it was extended to other countries as
Korea and Japan.
 One Confucianism aspect is the filial piety, this is like a value of respect for one’s
parents, elders and ancestors.
 Hinduism has a primary symbol that people use to hat people confuse with the Nazi
symbol because is kind of similar called swastika, but this one represents good
fortunes and being happy.
 Islam is the largest religion in Asia.

2. Give an example from the video (link attached) that explains the importance of
Confucianism in the Chinese economy.

The founder of Xiaohongshu, a thriving internet company with around 300 million of users,
created an initiative called signature program, in which each employee can choose an avatar
character, and this signature program plays an important role in fostering a collaborative
environment at xiaohongshu.

Also, this company has be ranked as one of the most innovative Chinese companies by
Forbers.

She has created this because one day she realized that her interns were calling senior staff
teachers and this could encourage hierarchy and discourage ownership, and this is
something related to Confucian thoughts, in Chinese they called it “Benfen” which refers to
integrity.
