Sekolah Kebangsaan Model is a primary school located in a remote

part of northern Malaysia and has a student population of 250 with 32
teachers. The nearest town is 4 kilometers away and a bigger city is
75 kilometers away from the school. Most of the teachers and the
school leaders live in the town and travel every day to the school.
Students, however live in the nearby villages and are usually dropped
to the school by their parents or commute to school by bus.
Unfortunately, since February last year, there was a viral
pandemic which engulfed the entire country. Many citizens, including
the teachers and students contracted the disease, and some passed
away. As a result schools were instructed to carry out online teaching
and learning. In the coming September, the government declared that
the school will be reopened as normal.
In preparation for the school reopen, it was found that three of
their senior teachers could not make it through the pandemic since
they were old and had pre-existing medical condition. The school
need to deal with teacher shortage immediately. Due to emergency
situation and since there are so many schools in the country facing
similar situations, the government has decided that all schools are
given the autonomy to exercise school-based recruitment for the new
teachers.

of getting the new teachers. Submit a detailed report on how are you going to fulfil
this task. Explain the strategies that you would employ to attract new teachers and
describe the steps that you would take to ensure the quality of teachers that you would
recruit and select for the school.
