PUBLISHING
In this online session we take a closer look at the
phenomenon of predatory publishing and consider
carefully what researchers should watch out for and
why. We provide insight into how Scopus curates its
content and in particular the details of how journals
are discontinued and what implications this has for
researchers. Finally, we provide some advice for
researchers on due diligence regarding targeting
journals for publishing.

and government institutions to help them use information and
analytics to improve the efficiency and impact of research. He
is originally from the Netherlands, and has been living and
working in Singapore since 2013, where he serves institutions
in South East Asia. Alexander has a MSc in Developmental
Psychology, from University of Amsterdam, and has worked
with Elsevier since 2008.
