The target market of the business is mainly based on the geographic, demographic,
psychographic and behavioural segments. As to geographic segment, the business will be
catering to the market needs in the province but it can also expand its market within the
region and even the entire country. When it comes to demographic segment specifically to
the income aspect, all consumers in all income brackets can afford to buy cassava starch.
As to the age or generation aspect, cassava starch is commonly consumed by old-aged
adults than young-aged adults. As to the psychographic segment, people who are already
consuming and using cassava starch and other starch alternative within the province, there
is high probability of them liking the product. In terms of behavioural segment, health
conscious people would prefer cassava starch compared to the common wheat starch since
the former offers more health benefits.
