Other Retention Strategies

• On-site daycare or daycare assistance – Sometimes, other employees cannot handle their
responsibilities in terms of their love ones like the ones that cannot move by their own, by this, firms
that have daycare assistance is very lucky because the firm itself helps out employees in managing their
loved ones. On-site daycare is an advantage for people that dedicates more time on work in order to
hussle for their daily needs.

• Gym memberships or on-site gyms - The company should also be aware on how employees should be
in terms of their physical health as well as their physical shape. Having an in-site gym is actually defining
how the firm takes care of the physical health and fitness of the people inside the firm.

• Concierge service to assist in party planning or dog grooming – It is also considered as a program that
helps employees that are in need in terms of assistance, it gives them services that would help them and
not think of worries instead having everything for free, given by the firm. Dog grooming, as example, is
also a very helpful thing to have, because employees can save money.

• On-site dry cleaning drop-off and pickup – Things like these are essential especially if your on the side
working all day or more than a day, if it requires you to change your clothes or clean your cloths, the
company has your back. I think this is very relevant if the company cares about how you dress and how
you take care of your clothes.

• Car care, such as oil changes, on-site once a week – This pertains to the basic essential needs if an
employee has a vehicle that he/she uses going in and out of work. Employee can save money just
because of the essentials that the firm provides for every car users inside the firm.

• On-site doggie daycare – This is actually pertaining to dogs that has no mommy or daddy if the day has
clocked into their working hours. This is actually very relevant because some employees cannot manage
their pets while they’re on work.

• On-site yoga or other fitness classes – It pertains to the physical fitness of an employee, clearly having
to provide the physical health of the employees by providing yoga classes or flexibility in terms of their
body. Yoga is very important not only for the physical shape of a employee, but also for its spirit.

• “Summer Fridays,” when all employees work half days on Fridays during the summer – It pertains to
the partial weekly vacations as pertains to “summer fridays” , every friday would be a half working hour
in order for the employees to have time to spend the summer while working on weekdays. It is relevant
in terms of employee retentions because it makes the employees feel that they are not missing out on
the summer.

• Various support groups for cancer survivors, weight loss, or support in caring for aging parents – This is
very relevant in terms of employee retention because it lets them know that they are very conscious and
they really care on the healthy of the employee, health of the public, as well as the overall awareness in
relating to higher health risk. This is very important because sometimes other employees suggest to
have insurance as well as support employees health benefits.

• Allowance for fertility treatment benefits – It pertains to the fertility of an individual inside the
workplace, the ones who has soon to give birth or starts to form a child. It gives assistance in terms of
benefits that can help them when they are in the point of not having the ability to get by at work
because of the fertility.

• On-site life coaches – It pertains to an professional that helps out employees in terms of their health.
This is very important because the firm shows the things that they provide, in order to get the
employees a person that helps them to have a longer life. It basically gives them someone who can
guide them and suggest them to take this and that in order to have a healthy and balance living.

• Peer-to-peer employee recognition programs – This is actually a form of communication that a


manager or the firm has in order to retain them and keep them healthy in terms of their workforce
inside the workplace. This is something that can help employees boost their productivity or at least help
them improve on their skills on whatever their position is, because they know that someone recognizes
his/her contribution to the firm.

• Management recognition programs – This are events or programs that recognizes the works or
contribution of a entire management or every single person in the team or organization, this gives
recognition for those who had hard works and contributions. It helps employees retain because the firm
