1. In this class and other health classes I have taken have taught me how to deal with my
stress. In this class we were taught to handle stress by watching videos with certain
techniques we could do, and in a sports psychology class I took we were taught to
handle stress by doing different activities in class like meditation. By taking sports
psychology it helped me learn other methods of ways to release stress and change my
mind set, this enhanced what I learned in this class by learning different techniques
that there are when coping with stress and being able to learn and re learn more about
it.
2. When I decided to take hiking, I was excited because I love being outside and going
on hikes. I thought that this class was going to be easy hikes and I was wrong. Now
that I have completed this course it makes me want to go on more hikes and not just
in the summer. I am happy I was wrong for thinking that the hikes were going to be
easy because the harder hikes are way more rewarding. An assignment that we did
that was influential was one of our discussions we did, it helped me realize that I
needed to be drinking more water than I am. After that assignment I have been
drinking more water every day and I plan on going forward with it.
