What is the significance of testing if t=6?

- After tested 6 times, the amount of searching number will be
clear. Each time, if we cannot find the number, we will follow this
formula: (a+b)/(2^t) (a to b is the amount of the searching
number, here is 0 to 128, t is the time we have to divided by 2).
Let’s assume that there will be the worst case, means the
formula: (a+b)/(2^6), now the result will be only between just 2
numbers.
Where should the test for the numbers 0 and 128 be placed?
