Asses for possible food Management

poisoning Assessment
History of the illness  During seizure:
- Check the ABC (Airway, Breathing, Circulation)
- Do not put anything to the mouth of the patient
Head and Spinal Trauma - Log roll the patient to one side
- If still unconscious place the patient in recovery position
Sign of possible meningitis
- Maintain patient’s safety
- Measure and document vital signs
Assess if there is weakness to
- Administer rectal Diazepam if there is no IV line
one side of the body
 if you suspect a brain infection:
Asses for any other disorder - Manage the seizure
patient might have - Initiate treatment for the underlying brain infection (such as i.v.
antibiotic for meningitis).
- Refer to hospital as this is an emergency.
Asses the patient’s medication
 if the person is a child with fever:
(If there’s any)
- It could be a Simple febrile seizure.
- Simple Febrile seizures affects children, 3 months to 5 years,
Asses if the patient take any
suffering from high fever and don't have any neurological illness
illegal drugs
or brain infection.
