Assignment 1: Consider your own assumptions or beliefs about literature. In a short paragraph, answer
these questions:

1. What types of writing would you classify as literature?

The types of writing that I can classify as a literature are poetry, prose, drama and also a work that
are categorized to historical periods, or their adherence to aesthetic features or genre. In addition
there are general categories of literature such as non-fiction, poetry, prose, drama and media, these
categories are usually called genre.

2. Whatis your basis for considering these types of writing as literature?

Honestly, my only basis in considering these types of writing in literature is my background

knowledge and also I read also from internet. And I consider poetry, prose, drama and also the
works of historical periods and it’s genre as literature for the reason of it contains the work of art
which use language creatively to express human realities such as the universe is the source of these
realities to be expressed.

*Reflect on your own feelings about literature, and express these feelings honestly.

My feelings about literature was superb actually, because it

shows or it gives a learners origin and development. And
literature also explain different genre such as law of books,
science and mathematics etc. In short literature is multi
dimensional, and it serves as a dimension to those readers who
reads a lot of it, for the reason of it brings them to different
world by the use of their imagination.
