A mysterious box...

Once I found it, I wasn’t sure if I should keep it or try to find its owner.
At first, I asked everyone around me if it belonged to somebody, but
most of them just shook their heads or simply ignored me. I was
getting nervous because the owner seemed to be swallowed by the
Earth and I had to get to work as soon as possible. ‘That presentation
won’t be delivered on its own,' I thought. As nobody appeared, I
decided to save it and deal with it after work.

I’m not going to lie; curiosity was killing me. I needed to see what was
inside that box, even knowing I had to return it later. So, in our break
time, I decided to take a look at it. I had convinced myself that inside
the box I could find some information about the owner, so I opened it
without feeling guilty. Inside there was a delicate antique wind-up
watch wrapped in silk fabrics. It was shiny and golden, and it had the
initials M.K on the back.

What's that, Pam? asked a friend sitting next to me.

‘Something I found in Regent's Park earlier in the morning,’ I said,

showing him.

‘That looks wonderfully beautiful and ancient. Why didn’t you return
it?’

‘I tried, but nobody claimed it,’ I said.

‘You don’t have to worry,' he said. I have to meet my girlfriend at that

park when we finish working. Would you like some help?

‘Extra help sounds great to me!’
