Answer:

“Cognitive technologies are products of the field of artificial intelligence. They are able to
perform task that only humans used to be able to.” This quote means that the cognitive
technologies are the fruit or outcome of artificial intelligence. Nowadays cognitive
technologies are big help in everyday life. Most of the time it is must use by the
teenagers and in this generations almost everybody are using artificial intelligence to
cope up. In this period of time it is rare that you can see a worker that manually works
mostly they’re using computers and etc.

2. Based on the attached pictures, define cognitive computing?

Answer:

Based on the pictures cognitive computing defines that in this 21 st century were in this
modern era we used different gadgets. It’s all about artificial intelligence working
managed by humans. We are surrounded by technologies; you’re not coping if you don’t
have any gadgets in these days. Cognitive computing also generates emerging patterns,
the opportunities in business and taking risk.

3. What are the use cases and advantages of Cognitive Computing?

Answer:

Cognitive computing enables machines to actually think and learn the same way that
humans do. This involves using self-learning algorithms that rely on various processes that
all come together and allows the computers to simulate the way a person’s brain works.
While computers have been better than human beings at things like calculations and other
complex processes for quite some time now, they have struggled to complete simple tasks
such as recognizing objects or regular speech.
Advantages of Cognitive Computing

Better data analysis

Take the example of healthcare industry. Cognitive computing systems can collate
information, reports, and data from disparate sources like medical journals, personal
patient history, diagnostic tools, and documentation of similar lines of treatment adopted
in the past from different hospitals and medical care centers.

This provides the physician with data backed and evidence based recommendation that
can enhance the level of patient care provided to the patient. So here, cognitive computing
will not replace the doctor, it will simply take over the tedious job of sifting through
multiple data sources and processing it in a logical manner.

Efficient processes

Swiss Re is a great example of how a complex process can be made simpler by employing
cognitive computing. According to officials, using cognitive computing helps them to
identify and take action based on emerging patterns. It also helps them to spot
opportunities and uncover issues in real time for faster and more effective response.

Its underwriting process for the Life and Health Reinsurance business unit was
revolutionized when it used IBM Watson to analyze and process huge amount of
unstructured data around managing exposure to risk. This enabled them to purchase better
quality risk and thus add to their business margins.

Better level of customer interactions

Hilton partnered with IBM to enable better quality of interactions and drive a superior
front desk and hospitality experience to guests. The result is Connie, a Watson enabled
robot concierge. It can provide amazingly relevant, contextual, and accurate information on
broad subjects around travel and hospitality, like, informing about local tourist attractions,
providing information on hotel amenities, and providing fine dining recommendations.
Hilton is reimagining the entire travel experience with Connie, to make it smarter, easier
and more enjoyable for guests.

These advantages highlight the massive potential that cognitive computing possesses.
Embracing it at an early stage will help you experiment and personalize the tremendous
power of cognitive computing to deliver incredible gains to your business.
4. How is cognitive computing used in business?

Answer:

Marketers may personalize content to their customers using cognitive computing and
data analytics. Marketers use the technology to manage and aggregate a plethora of
useful data from multiple measures, such as predictive analytics, website performance,
audience research, and social listening.
