The Psychoanalytic School of Thought
According to Sigmund Freud, the human persona is complicated and has
more than a single component. In his famous psychoanalytic idea, Freud
states that character is composed of three elements referred to as the Id, the
ego, and the superego. These factors paintings collectively create complex
human behaviors.
 The Id is driven by the pleasure principle, which strives for immediate
gratification of all desires, wants, and needs. If these needs are not
satisfied immediately, the result is a state of anxiety or tension.
For example: When someone shows very poor performance
throughout the semester, I want to tell that person that his/her grades
could have been much poorer, and he/she can improve them.
 The ego operates primarily based on the reality principle, which
weighs the risks and advantages of an action based on the Id, then
figures out to act upon or abandon impulses.
For example: It might be possible that if I went to a person having low
grades, to make him/her aware that he/she can do better, they might feel
that I am trying to show off my good grades. Therefore should I go or not?
The third one is the superego.
 The superego holds the internalized moral standards and ideals that
we acquire from our parents and society (our sense of right and
wrong).
For example: Approaching my mate to raise his/her morale so they can
try harder, is righteous or immoral?
