Progress Report

The progress report documents your personal journey through the course. This is parallel to a
weekly journal as you learn the topics of the course. The progress report must be submitted
regularly to your teacher as specified by his/her deadlines (every week, every two weeks, or
every three weeks). To complete the progress report for each week, there are two questions
which must be answered in complete sentences and in paragraph form.

Paragraph 1: What are the most significant or most interesting concepts and skills that I learned
this week? Answer in at least 5 sentences.
Paragraph 2: How can I relate the concepts and skills I learned to my course, my future job, or
my everyday life? Answer in at least 5 sentences.

Week no.: 9
Duration: 1 hr
Topic: Protein Metabolism

1. The lesson is interesting. I learn the role of protein metabolism. At humans, this structure
protein mass provides architectural aid, enzymes to catalyze metabolic responses,
signaling intermediates within and between cells, and fuel to provide life. Because there
is no protein storage place, proteins that provide critical roles are catabolized when the
body is confronted with the demand for more fuel consumption. Later, the structure
replaces previously sacrificed proteins within periods of caloric/nitrogen surfeit, thereby
maintaining a fragile and energetic protein balance that maintains equilibrium in the face
of environmental situation.
2. It can be a great reference if I would be studying protein metabolism in the future. I could
also share how protein metabolism works if ever someone ask. I can also become
confident in speaking or sharing facts and knowledge to others regarding with what I
learned in the lesson.
