8. R. O. No, 204/2010.— In exercite of the powers conferred by
Seotion 87 of the Employecs State Insurance Act, 1948 (Central
Act 34 0f 1948), read with Section 91-A thereof, the Goverament
of Kerala in consultation with the Employees’ State Insurance
Corporation hereby exempt Mis Pantheerankave Coir Vyavasaya
Sahakarana Sangam, Limited No. 246, P.O. Panthcerankave
Korhikodc-673 019 from the operation of the provisions of tho said Act for
aperiod of one year from Ist November 2005 to 3st October 2006
subject to the following conditions, namelyi—
1) The socicty shall maintain a ister showing the names
and {es guatlone of its employees ; =
(2), Notwithstanding this exemption, the employees shall oontinue
to reosive such benefits under the said Act to which they might
have beoome entitled to on the basis of the contributions paid prior
to the date from which exemption granted by this notification
operates ;
(3) The contribution for the exempted period if alrcady paid,
shall not be refunded ;
~« (4) The society shall submit in respect of the period during
whioh it was subject to the operation of the said Aot (hereinafter referred
to as the said period), such returas in guch form and oontaining
such particulars as were das wrom it.in respect of the i

(5) Any lospector appointed by the Corporation under sub-seotion ()
of Scction 45 of the said Act, or other offidial of the Corporation
authorited in this bebalf shall’ for the purpose of —
(i) verifying the partioulars contained in any return submitted
under sub-section (1) of Section 44 of the said Act ; or
(ii) ascertaining whether registra. and records. were
maintained as required by the Employees’ State Inwurance (General)
Regulations, 1950, for the said period ; or
(iil) ascertaining whether the employees continue to be
entided to the benefits provided by the employer in cash and kind
being benefits in considerations of which cxemption is being granted
under this notification ; or
(iv) ascertaining whether any of the provisions of the said Act had
been complied with during the period when such provisions were in force
in relation to the said fociety be empowered to—
(a) require the society (o furnish to him such information
as he may consider necessary; or
(b) enter any factory, establishment, office or ather premises
occupied by the said socicty at any reasonable time and
require any person found in charge thereof to produce to such
Inspector or other official and allow him to examine such
documents, books and other documents, relating to the
employment or persons and payment of wages or to furnish
to him such information as he may consider occossary ; or
(C) examine the officcrs of the society, servants of the: said
society or any person found in such factory, establishment,
office or other premises or any perton whom the said Ingpector
or other official has reasonable cause to believe to have been
an employee; or
{4} makeoopies of or take extcacts from any cegister, acaount
books or otherdocumeats maintained in suoh society, offige
or other premises of the said sovicty.

Explanatory Note

indicate its general purport.)
The President, Panthecrankave, Coir Vyavasaya Sahakarana
Sangam, Limited No. 246, P.O. Panthecrankavu, Kozhikode-673 019
has requested the Government to cxempt the society from the provisions
of the Employees State Insurance Act, 1948 for the period from
Ist November 2005 to 31st October 2006.
In consultation withthe Regional Director, Employees’ State
Insurance Corporation, Thrissur, Government have decided to exempt
the said society from the provisions of said Act for a period of
one year from Ist November 2005 to 31st October, 2000.
This notification is intended to achieve the above purpose.

8.R.O, No. 205/2010.—In exercise ofthe powers conferred by Section
87 of the Employees State Insurance Act, 1948 (Central Act 34 of 1948),
read with Scction 91-A_ thereof, the Government of Kerala in
consultation with the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation hereby
exempt M/s Pantheerankave Coir Vyavasaya Sahakarana Sangam,
Limited No. 246, P.O. Pantheerankave, ikode-673 019 from the
operation of the provisions of the said Act for a period of one year from
Ist November, 2006 to 31st October, 2007 subject to the following
conditions, namely :— -
(1), The society shall maintain a register showing the names
and designations of its employees ;
(2) Notwithstanding this exemption, the employees shall continue
to receive such benefits under the said Act to which they might
have become entitled to on the basis of the contributions paid
prior to the date from whioh exemption granted by this notification
operates ;
(3) The contribution for the exempted period if already paid, sball
not be refunded ;
(4) The society shall submit in respect of the period during
which it was subject to the operation of the said Act (hercinafter
referred to asthe said period), suoh returas in such form and containing
such particulars as were duc feom it im respect of the said period.
under the Employees" State Insurance (General) Regulations, 1950;(5) Any Inspector appointed by the Corporation under sub-section (1)
of Section 45 of the said Act, or other official of the Corporation
authorised in this behalf shall for the purpose of —

as required by the Employees’ State Insurance (General) Regulations,
1950, for the said period ; or

considerations of which exemption is being granted under this
notification ; or
(iv) ascertaining whether any of the provisions of the said Act
had been complied with during the period when such provisions were in
force in relation to the said society be empowered to—
(a) require the society to furnish to bim such informagion

(b) enter any factory, establishment, office or other premises
occupied by the said society at any reasonable tims and
require any person found in charge thereof to produce to
such Inspector or other official and allow him to examine
such documents, books and other documents, relating to

furnish to him such information as he may consider

(c) examine the officers of the society servants of the said

office or other premiscs or any person whom the sald

or other premises of the said socicty.

44 of 1948), read with Section 9{-A thercof, the Government of Kerala
in consultation with the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation hereby
exempt M/s Panthecrankave Coic Vyavasaya Sahakarana Sangam,
Limited No, 246, P.O. Pantheerankave, Kozhikode-673 019 from the
operation of the provisions of the said Act for a period of one year from
Ist November, 200710 31st October, 2008 subject to the following
conditions, namely :—

Paes Limited No. 246, P.O. Pantheerankave, Kozhikode-673 O19
requested the Government to exempt the society from the provisions
ake Employees State Insurance Act, 1948 forthe period from Ist
November 2007 to 3Ist October, 2093.
In consultation with the Regional Director, Euaployces’ State
Inguranes Corporation, Thrissur, Government have ‘decided to exempt
the said society from the provisions of said Act for a period of one year
from Ist Noveraber, 2007 ta 31st Octobre, 2008.
This notification is intendéd to achicve the above purpose.
