CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Conclusion
Based on the results of the study, the following conclusions were made:
1. It was determined that ninety-six percent (96%) of the population of the
respondents were not sleeping 9-11 hours, the required sleep for them.
2. It was determined that forty-six percent (46%) of the population of the
respondents were misusing their gadgets at night, however this number
could increase for there are still some who uses there gadgets during
morning and noontime which could add up to some of the respondents
time duration of gadget usage.
3. It was determined that majority of the respondents population were
misusing their gadgets and it affected their sleep duration

Recommendations
In light of the conclusions made, it is further recommended the following
recommendations.
1. To ensure students to have enough duration of sleep, they are
recommended to follow their sleep requirement so that they will not
experience several consequences.
2. Since it was found out that three-fourths (3/4) of the selected HUMSS
students got a duration of sleep lower than the recommended duration,
students need to ensure themselves to attain hours of sleep greater than
or equal to the recommended duration of sleep.
3. Parents should observe their children’s sleep duration and gadget usage
to secure their children’s health.
4. Health Officers and Concerned Teachers should inform students and their
parents of the causes and consequences of the lack of sleep and gadget
misuse.
5. To conduct a more thorough and scientific investigation on the effect of
gadgets misuse on the sleep duration of Western Philippines University –
Agricultural Science High School grade seven students
6. To know the different reasons why some of the students sleep for a short
time, a further study should be conducted.
