1. Read the questions carefully and answer.

Answer any three questions from the following. Question No. 3 and 4 are compulsory. All
questions carry equal marks.

1. What is meant by pleadings? Discuss in detail the fundamental rules of pleading.

of law.

3. Mr. Darren purchased a laptop priced at Rs. 70,000/- (Rupees Seventy Thousand) from Mr.
Das's shop, situated at Chandmari in Guwahati. He paid Rs. 20,000/-(Rupees Twenty
Thousand) in cash and issued a cheque for the balance amount of Rs 50,000/- (Rupees Fifty
Thousand). Mr. Das deposited the said cheque, in the Karnataka Bank, Ulubari Branch, but
it was returned unpaid, on account of insufficient funds in Mr. Darren's account. Draft a
Notice for dishonour of the said cheque on behalf of your client.

4. Mr. Dalmiya's wife left her matrimonial home, situated at Guwahati, on 26/09/2019 and
has not returned. As Mr. Dalmiya's lawyer, draft a petition for restitution of conjugal rights
under the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, on behalf of Mr. Dalmiya.
