• Viruses can be transmitted
by being influenced by
several factors, including
climatic conditions

Climatology with Covid-19: Study in the world
Ø Bashir et al. (2020) New-York city, USA: Average and
minimum temperature, and quality of air significantly
influence the COVID-19 transmissions.
Ø Sahin (2020), , Turkey, Wind shows a positive correlation
with COVID-19 cases.
Ø Gupta et al. (2020), US: Find temperature and humidity
can predict the COVID-19 transmission for US.
Ø Ma et al. (2020), Wuhan: Find significant positive
correlation with diurnal temperature with COVID-19 death.
Ø Sobral et al. (2020), International sample: Positive
relationship between precipitation and COVID-19
transmission.
Ø Temperature and humidity have a significant and
consistent distribution of seasonal behavior of respiratory
viruses (Sajadi et al., 2020)
Virus in the Airborne
v The virus is thought to survive up to
four days on normal surfaces, but
perhaps not so much on surfaces
heated by the sun.
v “Spanish Flu” pandemic of 1918-19,
found that sunshine and fresh air
were most helpful in stopping the
spread of the disease and reducing
mortality rates among those who had
contracted it.
v The temperature and humidity affect
the activity duration of the virus in
the environment

Covid-19 by Airborne?

The note was added 2 weeks after the CDC added and then subsequently
removed information from the website regarding airborne spread of the virus,
saying that the update had been posted by mistake and was still under review

CONCLUSION
• There is a correlation between climatic factors
and Covid-19
• Potential of distribution of Covid-19 in the
airborne need to more research
