Which core configuration gives the maximum transfer of electromagnetic effect to the secondary coil?

Develop a theory to explain the differences between configurations.

With the data that had obtained, the O-shaped core gives the greatest number of transfers of
electromagnetic effect from the primary coil up to the secondary coil which produces 4.95 Volts when
400 turns in both the coil was used.

Since a transformer produces a fluctuating magnetic flux which induces a varying electromagnetic force
across the secondary coil, a core that gives off loop for an easy flow of magnetic flux will maximize the
transfer of electromagnetic effect from the primary coil up to the secondary coil.

2.From your data in table 2, for a primary having a constant number of turns, graph the resulting output
voltage versus the number of turns in the secondary. What type of mathematical relationship exists
between numbers of turns of wire and the resulting output voltage? Is the data ideal? Why or why not?

When the turns of the secondary coil are increased, the induced voltage increases, suggesting a directly
proportional relationship between the turns of the secondary coil and the Output voltage, and when the
turns of the primary coils are being changed, keeping the turns of the secondary coil constant, the
Output Voltage of the coils decreased, which suggests an indirectly proportional relationship between
the two variables. However, when graphed, the values do not project a linear trend. It was

being observed that the ratio that exist between the number of turns in the primary and secondary coil
was related to the ratio between the input and output voltage. From here, a concept can be founded,
saying that an increase in the ratio between the number of turns in the primary and secondary coil is
equal to the increase in the ratio between input and output voltage.

3.Consider further improvements to your transformer. What additional changes might you make to
increase the transfer from one coil to the other?

The envelopment of the two coils using the core might help increase the transfer of current from one
coil to another since it would prevent magnetic leakage which would secure the induced alternating
current inside the transformer throughout the process. Changing the material of the core that has a
higher conductivity would also help in increasing the effectiveness of the transformer.
