Background

Spodoptera litura is one of the harmful agricultural pests, because it can cause damage up to 80%, even
crop failure if not controlled. This pest is reported to attack more than 200 species of food plants
(Marwoto and Suharsono, 2008). There have been many pesticides, including vegetable pesticides to
control Spodoptera litura, but vegetable pesticides are used using functional plants or including
production plants. Pteris vittata plants that are often found and not production plants contain alkaloids,
flavonoids, polyphenols, and triterpenoids (Handayani, 2015) and have the potential to be a vegetable
pesticide to control armyworm pests (Spodoptera litura)

2. To determine the concentration of Pteris vittata extract that has the most influence on Pteris
vittata
