the growth of trade have exceeded the limits through the knowledge of
the language, therefore, learning English is of the utmost importance in
the professional growth of every person. In this evidence, you have the

reference in a case analysis that allows you to identify the importance of
establishing good communication when handling the language with an
interlocutor. To comply with the objective of this evidence, consult the
video called Les Luthiers - Radio Tertulia - Part VI on the internet or
another research source, after observing it, answer and argue in English
the questions that are posed below:

What communication problem did you find between the two parties?
Was the information given by the announcers correct?
Justify your answer. List other similar situations that you know of where this
problem occurs.
What do you conclude from this situation?

DEVELOPING

• What communication problem did you find between the two parties? The
problem was that the announcers do not speak English so they translate
the words with words that sound the same in their native language,
completely changing the meaning of the answers. In the video it is evident
that the announcers do not have knowledge of the language (English),
unlike the guests, who did understand what they were asking, since when
responding they were very coherent and clear with their answers.

• Was the information given by the announcers correct? Justify your

answer. It was not correct given that what the interviewees answered, the
announcers understood and translated it in the wrong way

• List other similar situations that you know of where this problem occurs.
This situation can be shown when at the time of presenting one to a job
interview where one of the requirements is to speak English at the time of
presenting the interview, the lack of knowledge in the language may be
evidenced When we go to other countries and we do not understand the
language local to the area, which makes it difficult for us to move around and
learn about the culture.

• What do you conclude from this situation?

We must all learn another language and create new social links. Therefore we
must learn the language that is most predominant as a universal language and
which is handled in various work and social areas, since we are currently in a
world where globalization requires us to be in communication with the whole
world.
