ASKOCOAT 420 is a modified phenolic resin formulation with natural oils. ASKOCOAT 500 is a
modified isocyanate formulation. Both products are especially designed for fertilizer coatings to
achieve controlled release properties.

Application
Applied on fertilizer granules this resin system provides a coating with excellent adjustable release
properties, high efficiency and good mechanical properties and heat resistance. The release time can
be adjusted from 2 to 24 months depending on the quantity of coating material.

The typical mixing ratio (polyol/ isocyanate) is 1 / 1.

Catalyzed with Cat. 806 this system enables to run a very fast and efficient process. The typical curing
time for one layer depends on the process and needs < 2 minutes to be tack free in most cases.

 Packaging: 200 kg drum │ 1.000 kg IBC │ bulk
 Minimum shelf life: 6 months in closed original packaging
