The children will be able to extend their learning from the book into an art project where the children are
able to create their own mittens.

3. Materials and Equipment needed: (5 points)


-mitten cut out paper
-paint (blue, red, green, yellow)
-Extra Large Q-Tips (to paint with)
-Yarn (dip in paint and paint with)
-Glove (for children who don’t want to get paint on them)

4. Teaching (What will you do?) (5 points)


1. Set up art table with the paper cut outs and small paint cups with each color of paint.
2. Have children free style and paint their mittens however they want to. As the teacher you should also
paint and participate in the activity (talk with children).
