Types of Banks

Universal banks
A universal bank engages in a wide range of banking operations, acting
as both a commercial and an investment bank, as well as offering
additional financial services such as insurance. It is a bank where all the
financial products are available.

Commercial banks  
A commercial bank is a financial organization that takes deposits who
have surplus money and makes loans for people who are in need.

Specialized Government banks 


This banks specialize in funding specialized economic and social
activities.

Thrift banks 
Is a type of financial organization that focuses in providing clients with
savings accounts and issuing house mortgages.

Small private banks 


It is a bank that is not incorporated and owned by an individual or a
general partner(s) with a limited partner so it means the creditors can
look to the bank and his partner’s assets.
