Evaluation & Reflection:

The planning of this professional development was intended to show teachers a

new tool that they can use with their students. Ozobot brings out the creative side of

coding. Working at an STE(A)M school, I felt like this was a perfect opportunity to

introduce this to the teachers. I enjoy representing my school on how we integrate STEM

activities in our classroom. I made sure to outline each step so it was easy to follow. I

also explained each step in my video, so if they didn’t understand the writing or had

questions, they could go back and watch the video.

After analyzing the results from this workshop, I was pleased to know teachers

had mastered the goals set for them in this workshop. The teachers enjoyed using

different codes to make the Ozobot do different tasks. The teachers gave positive

feedback and said they would like to order one and use it with their students. One answer

from the Ticket out the Door that I received was to add another lesson or task. If I could

change or revise my lesson, I would like to add a math lesson to this workshop. I want

teachers to see how they can incorporate it into different subjects and not just tell them

they can. I gave teachers examples of how they could use it in different subjects, but

completing activities in that subject would have been a better option. Due to time, it was

impossible to do an activity for all subject areas. Next time, I would prefer to do a two or

three-day workshop where teachers can go to different stations and complete different

tasks instead of just one lesson.
