00 Demolition

Shall include demolition and disposal of existing structures to Royal

Commission designated disposal area as per Contract drawing and Contract
documents.

2-02.00 Earth Works

2-02.01 Site Clearance

Shall include site clearing including top soil removal, vegetation, cutting and
removing of trees, deleterious soil removal complete as Contract drawing and
Contract documents. This item shall also include transporting and disposal of
all cleared martials to the Royal Commission designated off-site disposal
area.

2-02.02 Excavation

Shall include excavating including transporting unacceptable material and

excavated materials where required on site for using the material as fill
material where such material meets specified criteria for intended use;
depositing, spreading, grading and compacting in layers to finished grades or
to sub-grade levels; and transporting surplus excavated material to the Royal
Commission designated off-site disposal area and grading and compacting as
required as per Contract drawing and as specified in the Contract documents.
The item shall also include making of temporary storm drainage ditches as
per Contract drawing and as specified in the Contract documents. The Works
shall also include the required field density testing, laboratory testing and
settlement monitoring tests as per project specific specifications. The unit
rate shall include an allowance for any further excavation due to settlement.

2-02.03 Imported Fill

Shall include clearing and excavating from designated Royal Commission

borrow pits, transporting, spreading, leveling, grading, compacting and
stabilizing to finished grade levels and formation of slopes in layers as per
Contract drawing and as specified in the Contract documents. The item shall
also include making of temporary storm drainage ditches as per Contract
drawing and as specified in the Contract documents. The Works shall also
include the required field density testing, laboratory testing and settlement
monitoring tests as per project specific specifications. The unit rate shall
include an allowance for any further imported fill due to settlement.
