The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) through the Office of Civil Defense
(OCD) will hold this year’s 4th Quarter Online Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on November
11, 2021 at 8:00 a.m to be livestreamed on Civil Defense PH and NDRRMC social media pages.
The NDRRMC once again calls on the public to continue participating in NSED and in other national and
community-based preparedness activities and programs to strengthen capacities to respond to earthquake and other
hazards.
Meanwhile, a disaster preparedness webinar, and the tabletop and communication exercises for San Antonio
Zambales to be joined by Zambales Provincial DRRMC and Regional DRRMC in Central Luzon will be
conducted on November 9, and 10, 2021 respectively as part of the 4th quarter NSED.
The third quarter online NSED, held last September 16, 2021 was joined by various organizations from
government offices, private sector, academe, Non-Governmental Organizations, Civil Society organizations, and
the general public, recording around 57,000 peak viewers.
The NDRRMC continues to engage the public to build earthquake preparedness as it holds the 4th Quarter NSED
next month. The upcoming NSED will be the sixth online earthquake drill since the third quarter last year.
NINHS- Households are encouraged to join the fourth quarter virtual nationwide simultaneous
earthquake drill (NSED) that will be held at 9 a.m. on November.

“Parents and children who are in their homes are encouraged to participate,” Meantime, there is no
evacuation drill in compliance with the minimum public health standards to avoid mass gatherings.

Since last year holding the exercise is a challenge but while under the pandemic, we have no choice but to
adjust.

“It is different when we used to have exercises on rescue, and scenarios on road, buildings, and collapsed

which is being looped with the FB page of the OCD , National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management
