INTRODUCTION:

A movie titled "Dog Day Afternoon" is a movie inspired by the story of a

bank robbery. The movie shows the inexperienced robbery of three
amateur robbers, but at the start of the movie, one of Sonny's
accomplished back out due to his fear of getting caught by the cops. It is
also said in the middle of the story that Sonny decided to rob a bank to
support his lover's operation. However, because they are amateurs at
robbing a bank, the plan did not go well, which left them surrounded by the
cops. The movie shows how the cops try to negotiate with the hostage
takers in order to minimize the incident of making the hostage takers do an
action that could hurt the hostages, or worse, lead to the hostages' death. It
shows the true-life actions of the cops and how they put together strategies
to make the hostages safe in the arms of the hostage takers.
The main character in this movie is Sonny, who plays the robbery played
by Al Pacino, with Sal as his accomplice played by John Cazale, Moretti as
the cop, and the one who's negotiating with Sonny is played by Charles
Durning.
