1. What is a “carbon footprint”?

-A carbon footprint corresponds to the whole amount of greenhouse gases

(GHG) produced to, directly and indirectly, support a person’s lifestyle and
activities. Carbon footprints are usually measured in equivalent tons of CO2,
during the period of a year, and they can be associated with an individual, an
organization, a product or an event, among others.

2. What is the significance of knowing the carbon footprint of an entity?

-Measuring your own carbon footprint allows you to see the specific things you
can alter in your lifestyle. Some of these things could include, used electricity,
used natural gases, the effects of your car, how much you recycle, what you
recycle and how much you waste.

3. What are the considerations in determining carbon footprint?

- A carbon footprint is calculated by estimating not just the CO2 emissions that
the activity in question causes, but also any emissions of other greenhouse
gases (such as methane and nitrous oxide) and in some cases other types of
climate impacts as well, such as vapour trails from aeroplanes.

4. How is carbon footprint calculated?

 - A carbon footprint is calculated by estimating not just the CO2 emissions that
the activity in question causes, but also any emissions of other greenhouse
gases (such as methane and nitrous oxide) and in some cases other types of
climate impacts as well, such as vapour trails from aeroplanes.

According to the group’s results, the carbon footprint of each household are more or
less similar. Compared to China, the total of each household is near to China’s carbon
footprint emission.
