THE CRYSTAL BALL

Assalaamualaikum and good afternoon to honourable judges, the timekeeper,

and friends. My name is Balqis Qaleesya and I will tell you a story entitled The
Crystal Ball.

One upon a time, there was a little girl named Twinkle. One day Twinkle
went out for a walk. Suddenly, she found a crystal ball behind a big red tree in
the park. The tree told her that it would grant her a wish.

Twinkle was very happy and she thought hard, but unfortunately, she
could not come up with anything. So, she kept the crystal ball in her bag and
waited until she could decide on her wish.

Days went by without her making any wish but her best friend, Laila saw
her looking at the crystal ball. She stole it from Twinkle and showed it to
everyone in the village. They all asked for gold and money to satisfy their greed
but could not make more than one wish. In the end, everyone was angry
because no one could have everything they wanted. They started to fight with
each other. They became very unhappy and decided to ask Twinkle for help.

Twinkle make a sincere wish to the crystal ball and she wished that
everything would go back to how it was once before. The gold and money all
vanished but the villagers once again became happy and content.

Dear friends, moral of the story: greed, money and wealth do not always bring
happiness. Be content with what we have. Thank you.
