APPROVAL OF MINUTES

§ Adriana Martinez approved the minutes & Victor Bell second it

PRINCIPAL REPORT

§ Spanish Heritage Month:

o Was a success, Principal thanked everyone that was involved.
§ Fall Festivities:
o Fall fun festivities happening ex) movies, games & reading.
o Students can come in with their costume on Friday the 29th
§ Board of Education:
o 2nd grade will be highlighted on video for board of education.
§ Drop off & pick up:
o Is going smoothly, as weather gets colder new procedure will take place.
GUEST SPEAKER

§ Shihan Sean
o Started with stretches
o Taught how to punch and keep arms to the side
o Showed how to kick, block and self defense

COMMITTEE REPORTS

§ Reflection
o Program runs from 10/18 – 11/15
o The theme is: I will change the world by?
o 6 categories to pick from.
o Divided into two groups k-3 & 4-6
o Winner will be announced at January PTA meeting
§ Membership:
o As of today, we are at 306 members
§ D.E.I
o Native of American guest speaker coming to read.
o 1st meeting will be the 1st week of November, more info to come.

FUNDRAISING

§ Spirit Wear
o Boosterthon is backed up, more information will be sent out on parent square
o Made 280 dollars this year compared to $ 234 last year.
§ Breast Cancer Awareness walk:
o Raised 608 dollars
o PTA thanked the parents who participated in the walk
§ Fall Catalog:
o Ends Friday Oct 28
o $8260 already made on the fundraiser

UPCOMING EVENTS

§ Fall Pictures:
o Teachers will send out information on when their day is
o More volunteer needed
§ Pumpkin Patch:
o 10/29
o Small Pumpkin given out to pre-k to 1st grade.
o Pictures will be shared with families.
