ER relationships

1. Vendor to Technology (N:1)

Vendor is an entity which supplies the required equipment like software, networks and etc for the
company. The Technology is just all the equipment and parts combined together as one to serve our
need.

Relationship – Many vendors can supply to only one technology as there is no need of various kind
of technology but their can be many vendors supplying one technology

2. Department to technology (1: N)

Department is like the command centre of the company which hold a strong and direct relationship
with the other entities.

Relationship- As we took only one department for our company structure so their can be one
department uses many parts of technology.

3. Employee to department (N:1)

Employee are the representative of the company who are responsible for maintaining the
department and serve the clients of the department.

Relationship – As there can be many employees can serve one department as whole therefore, they
hold many to one relationship.

4. Department to client (1: N)

Client is the end user of the company who is willing to use the service provided by the company
which is handled by the department of the company.

Relationship – As of the company structure we have one department and which is capable of
handling many clients, so they hold one to many relationships.

5. Department to Vendor (1: N)

Relationship -As there can be many vendors which serves only one department as of our company
structure, they hold one to many relationships.
